COVID-19

Within a month of getting engaged, we thought we had everything under control. The celebrant, reception venue and photographer were locked in. We had also decided to repeat the ceremony on September 27th in Belgium and even had our air travel booked for that.

And then Coronavirus truly hit the world, impacting us and everyone around us. With the borders closed and restrictions on gatherings, our plans had to be revised.

What is most important to us is sharing our happiness and love with the people we care about. It was pretty clear from the start though that we wanted to stick with our date. So how can we still share with our loved ones?

We will be following the latest guidelines of the ACT government around gatherings and weddings. Even if these guidelines get relaxed by September, the reality is that overseas and even interstate travel may be difficult.

If you feel unwell with COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms, even mild ones, stay home and get tested for COVID-19. Please do not attend the Wedding in-person.

For everyone who cannot make it on the day, a Livestream of the Ceremony will be broadcast from 3:00PM AEST (2:30PM Darwin, 1:00PM Perth and 7:00AM Central Europe).

Note
Due to COVID-19, we do ask you stand in the designated areas with your group.

Belgium Wedding Plans
The Belgium component of our wedding will be postponed until late 2021.
